Swaziland

My name is Bongani Andrew Simelane was born and educated in the small beautiful Kingdom of Eswatini.I am a born leader since my leadership career started from elementary level to Primary and High School where I become a Prefect and a Head boy subsequently. I have also served in different Committees/Boards that are Youth- led and Youth- serving in different capacities within the board including the Swaziland National Youth Council, Swaziland Youth United Against HIV/AIDS, Youth Employment Summit Swaziland –Chapter and the Council on Smoking Alcohol and Drugs.

I have also represented my country in a number of forums locally and Internationally in my capacity as RYC and SNYC board member. Currently I am running my own consultancy called Social Compass Consulting as a lead Consultant and working on the following areas: Resource mobilization, Capacity building, mentorship, Proposal development, Exchange Programme facilitation and Youth Development. I also initiated the Swaziland National Youth Parliament which got funding from Unicef and a number of noble initiatives that are Youth specific. I started serving as a RYC in 2007(alternate) and in 2010 I was appointed substantive RYC member for Swaziland.

I am into politics hence my studies are on Public Administration and Political leadership. My thematic group is Human Rights and Democracy. In 2008 I ran for the National election in Swaziland and won hence I am a Constituency Governor/Development Facilitator in charge of six (6) chiefdoms under my constituency which under the political hierarchy in Swaziland is the Second best political position after that of a Member of Parliament (MP) hence promoting youth involvement and participation in decision making at all levels.
