The UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women will hold its 41st session from 30 June to 18 July 2008. It will examine the country reports from the following States Parties: Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Nigeria, Slovakia, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United Republic of Tanzania, Yemen.

Fifty-third Session of the Commission on the Status of Women

The 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York from 2 to 13 March 2009. The themes that will be considered are the following:

Priority theme: "The equal sharing of responsibilities between women and men, including caregiving in the context of HIV/AIDS"
Review theme: "Equal participation of women and men in decision-making processes at all levels".
