Global 15-year review process in the 54th session of the Commission on the Status of Women

On 2 March 2010, the Commission on the Status of Women adopted a Declaration on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women (E/CN.6/2010/L.1). This Declaration will be brought to the attention of the Economic and Social Council for transmission to the General Assembly for its endorsement.
Participation
The fifty-fourth session of the Commission on the Status of Women was attended by representatives of Member States, United Nations entities and of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) from all regions of the world.

In addition to ECOSOC-accredited NGOs, the Economic and Social Council has decided (E/2009/234) to invite those non-governmental organizations that were accredited to the Fourth World Conference on Women or to the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly to attend the fifty-fourth session of the Commission.
